About Me – English-Speaking Counsellor in Mallorca

Who I Am

I am Sarah, an English-speaking counsellor based in Mallorca. I provide professional, confidential therapy for individuals, couples, families, and expatriates seeking mental health support in English. My goal is to help you understand your emotions, feel supported, and create meaningful, positive change.

What I Do

I offer in-person counselling in Palma and convenient online therapy sessions. My work focuses on issues such as anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family conflict, and adjustment to life abroad.

Why Clients Choose Me

  • A safe, confidential space
  • Therapy in native-level English
  • Experience with expatriate challenges
  • Flexible online or in-person appointments
  • Evidence-based therapeutic approaches

My Journey and Professional Background

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, and a Certificate in Counselling Skills. Since 2008, I have supported adults, teens, children, couples, and families across Mallorca.

Living abroad can bring emotional challenges — isolation, stress, cultural differences, and limited support networks. I created the British Counselling Service to help English-speaking residents feel heard, understood, and supported.

My Approach – Empathy, Insight & Evidence-Based Therapy

My approach combines empathy with evidence-based practice. I primarily use psychodynamic therapy, which helps you understand emotional patterns formed in the past and how they affect your present life.

In practical terms, this means:

  • Space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment
  • Support in building self-awareness and emotional resilience
  • Guidance in understanding triggers, patterns, and past experiences
  • A flexible, confidential environment in Palma or online

How can counselling help expatriates living in Mallorca?

Counselling helps expatriates manage isolation, cultural adjustment, relationship stress, homesickness, and limited support networks. Therapy provides guidance and emotional tools for adapting to life abroad.
